Sometimes We Have Done All We Can Do.

A friend of mine had been challenged by a situation for quite a long time. He had been working very hard at it and he had been taking all the right actions toward an end result. But he was still short of his goal. He didn’t know what else he could do to reach the end result he wanted.
I was listening to my friend voice his despair and frustration as we enjoyed our tea together. Unsure of what wise words I could offer him in that moment, I called in James for guidance. James showed me an image of his herd just hanging out and grazing on the spring grass. Then James said: “Sometimes we have done all we can do in a situation and we just have to wait. Focus on the spring grass. Tell him to focus on the new things sprouting in his life. Have his heart feel the peace and the joy in that.”
James' wisdom made my friend and I consider how often we humans keep pushing. Whereas nature and animals, with the innate understanding of the cycle of things, are often so content to just wait.
