High Calorie Slop

James eats slower than his pasture mates, meaning he consumes less hay than they do, so he recently lost some weight despite my efforts. The last few days I have started to bring James in to a stall in the lower barn for part of the day to give him extra time to consume more calories. The barn manager is helping with the logistics, and James seems to have already adjusted to the new rhythm. Now that he has realized that he is only in a stall for the purpose of consuming extra food, when I brought him in this morning from the pasture after the morning hay, he escorted himself right into his new part-time digs so he could keep eating!

As he was munching on big mouthfuls of high calorie slop, he told me about the current energies affecting everyone on the planet:

"The energies from the cosmos might have a start and stop quality to you. Try not to fight it. When the energy is there, go with it, enjoy the ride, and rejoice in all that you get done. When the energy is not there, just rest. Bow out gracefully from what you think you have to do. Follow the energies and ride the changing tides. Resisting will only make you more tired."

 Love, James

(Good advice, although my energy has felt stop and start for months now! Lol!)
